While conventionally manufactured surf suits are largely made from petroleum-based or limestone-based materials, Soöruz claims to have developed a new material called BioPrene for its GreenLine models, which is made from pulverised oyster shells, natural rubber, sugar cane and vegetable oils. The outer material of the laminated suits is also said to be made from 100 per cent recycled nylon, and all adhesives and colours are water-based and free from solvents. And Soöruz has obviously also given some thought to production waste - 100 per cent of the waste generated during production is recycled.
The manufacturer emphasises that the flexibility and comfort of the GreenLine suits should be comparable to those of conventional Neos. The other features are familiar - a horizontal front zip on the chest should guarantee easy entry and maximum freedom of movement. The model is currently available in three versions: Two fullsuits, with thicknesses of 4/3 and 3/2 millimetres as well as a shorty with 2/2 millimetre neoprene thickness. The prices of the GreenLine Neos are still within the normal range at a maximum of 289 euros.
