Bright sunshine and a stormy north-easterly wind attracted numerous windsurfers to the Bay of Lübeck. We show you the pictures of the day in our gallery.

Springtime is easterly wind time! The forecast had improved with every update over the past few days, giving us hope for a great day in the Bay of Lübeck. The journey past rapeseed fields and Lake Selent, which was adorned with whitecaps, already aroused plenty of anticipation.

Already in the morning it was whistling in Kellenhusen for sails of around 4.5 square metres and the wave also got going quickly. The wind continued to pick up until midday. Over the course of the day, many of the protagonists rigged sails with a three in front of the decimal point, the car park slowly became crowded and there was also plenty of activity on the water with around 35 windsurfers and a few kiters. Even though the waves on the sandbanks were relatively round and you couldn't always find powerful sections for turns and jumps, it was still a great start to spring. You can get an impression of the conditions in the photo gallery at the beginning of the article.
