No matter where you are in Denmark - it's never more than 55 kilometres to the coast. 55 kilometres - for very few of us it's that close to the nearest quarry pond, let alone the coast. Enviable people, these Danes. A total of five and a half million Danes share 7000 kilometres of coastline - that's 1.30 metres for every inhabitant. There wouldn't even be a crowd if all the Danes lined up nicely on the beach. They would just have to be careful not to trip over any surfboards. Because there are plenty of them on the beaches between Rømø and Skagen from late spring to late autumn. The good wind, relaxed atmosphere, endless space and surfing conditions for all levels have made Denmark one of the favourite destinations for German surfers. Easy to reach, campsites at almost every spot and holiday homes for every budget, whether it's a weekend trip from northern Germany or an annual holiday, the infrastructure is just right.
The variety of spots in Denmark is enormous. From the perfect beginner's spot to hardcore surfing, you'll find all types of surfing on the North Sea coast. That's why we've scoured Jutland for you, from the far south to the far north, and will guide you to the spots where you'll get your money's worth.
