In the middle of retirees taking a cure and admirers of the former state garden show, now the "Park of Gardens", there is a place where not only hobby surfers can get their hands on a fork, no, it is the place where Rik Fiddicke and Amelie Lux started their first attempts at boarding and are still welcome to show off their victories or loops today. But "normal people" also have fun at this lake, which is unique in the region. The Zwischenahner Meer, also known as the Elmendorfer Meer or the "Pearl of the Ammerland", is the third largest inland lake in Lower Saxony - after the Steinhuder Meer and the Dümmer - with a surface area of 526 hectares and a depth of up to five metres.
