What's next? If you've caught fire on a surf course, you'll be faced with this question when you return from your holiday. Living inland, a lack of like-minded people and, last but not least, the question of equipment will always put the brakes on your ambitions to "stick with it". Fortunately, there are also contact points far away from the coast that will support you on your further path as a windsurfer: Surf clubs in particular offer their members training, youth trips and often the opportunity to use club-owned equipment or even take part in regattas for little money. Joint trips and holiday camps are also offered.
The professional windsurfing centres of the world's largest association, the VDWS, also offer an ideal basis: in Germany alone, there are almost 150 centres active at locations from A for Altmühlsee to Z for Zingst, and of course there are also well-equipped centres at the top spots abroad where you can hire equipment or raise your level to a new level with the help of trained instructors.
And if you are thinking about buying your own equipment and value good advice, you should definitely pay a visit to your local surf shop or ask for used equipment at one of the surf schools at the end of the season. You won't be buying a pig in a poke, but can test and compare the equipment beforehand.
You can find a selection of clubs, centres and shops below - they have supported the 2023 Climber Special - a big thank you to all partners!
