iSUP, pump, neo, towel, fins, shoes...20 kilos can quickly add up. Lugging, toiling, heaving - but that's over for Starboard in 2015. The new packsack, which comes as standard and is also available as an accessory, is not only very comfortable to carry as a rucksack, but also rolls behind you without much effort.

Four smooth-running castors and aRigid underbodyensure good riding comfort - at least when the bag is full. To ensure that it fits as many boards as possible, the bag is available in different sizes depending on the board type and size - from the massive Fisherman to the handy children's board.three available sizes as well as possible.

The shoulder straps are wideand sufficiently padded, a hip belt and chest strap ensure good fixation. The shoulder straps are now lower than on Starboard, so that the rucksack hangs where it belongs on the back. The small patch pocket holds fins, the base plate of the pump and small items, while the pump itself is stored in the large main compartment. The main compartmentCan be loaded from above or open it wide with the all-round zip and load it comfortably. Two side straps tighten the bundle if it is not packed too lightly.

Available as an accessory for around 49 euros and included with every new series board from model 2015 onwards.

The materials engineering graduate worked as a surf instructor on the Ijsselmeer during his studies and competed for several seasons for the Essen sailing team in the Surfbundesliga and the Funboard Cup. He completed a traineeship at surf-Magazin in the test department and since then has actively accompanied almost all tests on the boom and for more than 10 years also as a photographer. Stephan has covered many thousands of test kilometers, mainly on Lake Garda and in Langebaan, but also in Egypt and Tobago. He gets his hands on over 100 new sails and boards every year as his company car. Privately, he prefers to surf with a foil on Lake Walchensee or “unfortunately far too rarely” in the waves. SUP is Stephan's second passion, which he pursued for several years at numerous SUP races. Today, he prefers to paddle on river tours with family or friends - even for several days.
