The championships took place for the second timetook place on Lake Constance. Participants from all over Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Bavaria, Berlin and Switzerland gathered at the canoe club's premises on Saturday in mixed weather conditions and very choppy seas. The first chairman Jürgen Schneider welcomed the participants and wished them every success for the upcoming races. The races were held in the immediate vicinity of the club grounds as a quadrangle course. The planned land start had to be cancelled this year due to the very low water level, meaning that the more than 40 participants had to start from the water. At 10.30 a.m., around 20 participants set off on the 2km course, which they had to circle 4 times for the long distance (8km). Due to the increasing wind with gusts of up to 9 knots, the Fun Class course was shortened to 2km instead of 4km. The starting field, who were mainly travelling on I-SUPs (inflatable stand-up paddle boards), welcomed the decision. At the finish line after around 30 minutes, you could see the effort on the faces of the participants. But even the two youngest participantsRobert Weisner (12 years) and Julian Uhl (10 years) did not miss the opportunity to compete in the 500 metres in these conditions. In the long distance men's performance class As in the previous year, Peter Weidert (SKG Hanau) won the men's U 45 class, ahead of the reigning Swiss champion Peter Tritten and Jonas Pauldrach from Berlin. Peter Tritten from Oberried (Switzerland) won the men's U45 class on this course, followed by Jonas Pauldrach (Berlin) and Philipp Morzik (KC Konstanz).

On Saturday afternoona completely new SUP niche was tested - SUP yoga. In two one-hour sessions with up to 10 participants each, exercises such as the sun salutation were performed on the board. Thanks to the manoeuvrable SUP underfoot, many yoga exercises are more intense. Despite the drizzle, the participants had a lot of fun. The SUP Polo Tournamenton Sunday was cancelled in advance due to the low water. The risk of injury due to involuntary dismounting from the SUP board was too great. A Big SUP race was organised as an alternative programme. On two BIG SUP boards (5 participants per board), a total of 5 randomly drawn teams competed against each other and had to get a ball into a bucket after a sprint course including rounding the buoy. Great fun for participants and spectators alike. About the two daysvisitors and participants were able to test the latest SUP boards extensively. A big thank you to all the exhibitors involved (SUP-Rottweil, WARK Boards, Siren, Mäsi SUP-Board Shaper Gasser and Light Board Corp).
