boot 2026: Boot Düsseldorf brings world-class contests back to XXL pool

At the six contests in Hall 17 of boot Düsseldorf, top stars from all over the world will compete against each other and bring the action of the surfing world to Düsseldorf.
When boot Düsseldorf takes place from 17 to 25 January 2026, world-class contests will once again be held on the 62-metre XXL pool. They will make the trade fair a meeting place for top athletes from the surfing world and anyone who wants to be inspired by it.
"What you see here on the pool is amazing. I'm glad that we at boot Düsseldorf have the opportunity to offer these impressive sports a stage. Our pool with 1.3 million litres of water is so unique and brings the sport of surfing directly to those we want to inspire and motivate," says Petros Michelidakis, Director Boating and Watersports Events at Messe Düsseldorf.
Three official World Cups
The "GWA Indoor Wingfoil World Cup - boot Düsseldorf 2026" also promises to be a complete success during the upcoming trade fair season. For the surf foilers, there will be a stop on the "SFT Surf Foil World Tour - boot Düsseldorf 2026", where they seem to fly over the flat water. Every millisecond counts in the race for the podium. At the "EuroTour SUP Indoor World Cup - boot Düsseldorf 2026", the stars of the racing sport have to complete a parkour across the pool. Last year, more than 70 SUPers made up the strong field of participants and ensured full stands and a great atmosphere.
The stars of the windsurfing scene show that their sport belongs in front of a large audience. The jumps that you can otherwise only see with binoculars from the beach take place right in front of you at the "FPT Freestyle Pro Tour - boot Düsseldorf 2026". "The support from the audience is incredible. Events like this help to make the sport bigger and better known," summarised top star Lennart Neubauer.
Accompanied by DJs, the "Pooltastic Wakeboard Masters - boot Düsseldorf 2026" will make visitors to the hall cheer and ensure plenty of splashing water. The "European Skimboard Masters - boot Düsseldorf 2026" will not take place on the big pool, but with just as many fans and stars. Who will be competing is yet to be announced - but one thing is already clear: it will be first-class.
