The "Brettlescamp" on Lake Constance was already well received in 2023, so a continuation is planned for 2024. On the Whitsun weekend from 18 to 20 May 2024, the SUP school "Brettlespaddler" is organising a camp for SUPers of all skill levels at the surf site in Radolfzell. "The programme again includes new technical exercises, interesting tours and the opportunity to test different equipment," say the organisers. "Everyone who wants to improve their technique, gain experience or simply have a great paddle weekend is invited to the SUP camp."
These contents are planned for the SUP camp:
- Perfecting the basic stroke, various paddling techniques, practising manoeuvres, buoy turns (pivot turns), draft paddling (race mode), optimising balance on the SUP, and much more
- Materials and technology
- Test different SUP boards (including hardboards), paddles (plastic to full carbon), rescue equipment (waistcoat and restubes)
- Guided SUP tours on Lake Constance
- Sharing and having a great time with like-minded people away from the hustle and bustle and on the crystal-clear waters of Lake Constance
Requirements:
Physical fitness is required, participants must be able to swim! Technique & fitness level: Suitable for beginners as well as advanced paddlers.
Equipment:
Please come in comfortable sportswear and shoes that can get wet and bring a spare set of clothes and towels just in case. The organisers also recommend that you bring enough to drink and, of course, sun cream/sun protection.
The camp costs 388.00 euros, which includes technique training, safety training, tours and use of the infrastructure at the Radolfzell surfing centre, lunch and dinner. Accommodation must be organised separately. Further information and registration can be found at www.Brettlespaddler.de
