The name Dunkerbeck and a great passion for water sports have always gone hand in hand. The two siblings Björn and Britt have won no fewer than 58 world championship titles, earning them international fame. Now 44-year-old Britt is returning to her roots after a break: In Jutland (Denmark), she will open her own water sports facility on the east coast with the "Dunkerbeck Windsurf and SUP Centre" on 01 July. "A Dunkerbeck simply belongs on the water," says Britt Dunkerbeck with a laugh, explaining her plans at the same time. The successful surfer has already managed her family's own water sports centre on Gran Canaria and now wants to take on a new challenge. In Jutland, she will not only act as an entrepreneur, but will also run the windsurfing courses for beginners herself. "The beginners' course lasts four hours and ensures the necessary safety on the board. This course is also suitable for children. Afterwards, it's all about practising, practising and practising again," explains Britt Dunkerbeck. SUP fans will also get their money's worth. This trendy sport is the ideal workout on the water and is offered at the Dunkerbeck Windsurf and SUP Centre as a varied tour along the coast. "In many places, you can only reach the shore over the water. This is ideal for an exciting stand-up paddling excursion. The water is also very shallow," says the 44-year-old, who wants her new centre to offer the many tourists in particular plenty of variety and an unforgettable time on the water. Windsurfing legend Dunkerbeck invites anyone who is not on a board to relax in a cosy lounge area. Here she also stocks sportswear and similar products for every budget. No water sports wish remains unfulfilled. And exciting windsurfing anecdotes are included free of charge.
