Qualification with an international starting field

On Saturday, the athletes first completed three qualifying rounds. The tour kicked off with the youngest participants, who showed technically clean paddling at the age of six. The juniors followed before the elite field took to the pool. Eight women qualified for the further rounds on Sunday. The starting field represented the international orientation of the EuroTour with participants from several continents. The qualifying rounds served as an elimination for the knockout rounds on the final day. Belar Diaz, Tour Manager of the EuroTour, emphasised the special atmosphere of the event. "One of the highlights of this great weekend was the moment when we were able to present all the athletes on stage. Normally, many SUP competitions take place in open water and away from the public. Here, boot Düsseldorf gives us a great platform to present the riders as stars," explained Diaz.
