Pumpfoil Festival 2025: Yannik Holste and Jette Koep win at Gut Wittmoldt - great atmosphere and lots of testers

Last weekend, the idyllic Gut Wittmoldt estate near Plön was transformed into a huge pump-oil playground. In glorious sunshine and perfect water conditions, over 100 visitors and active participants attended the Pumpfoil Festival 2025, organised by 1001grad Events, the brains behind the Winger and Racer of the Sea, which was both a contest and a test event. A special highlight was the support provided by boot Düsseldorf, which awarded two coveted wild cards for the SFT Pumpfoil World Cup 2026 on the action pool at the trade fair.

Visitors to the festival were delighted to see numerous exhibitors. They included renowned brands such as Sabfoil, KT, Starboard, AK, Axis, North, Indiana and Slingshot, who presented their latest innovations in the pump foil sector. Particularly attractive for beginners and interested parties: thanks to the support of the Heidkate surf school, there was the opportunity to test the exhibited equipment free of charge under professional guidance. This opportunity to gain initial experience on a pump foil or to compare different models was enthusiastically accepted by many visitors.

Great variety at the pump oil contest

The highlight was, of course, the pumping competition, in which a total of 20 participants took part. The diversity of the starting field was particularly pleasing - a quarter of the participants were women, and numerous young people also took part. This colourful mix made for varied heats and thrilled the spectators on the shore.

After exciting competitions, the winners of the Pumpfoil Festival 2025 were crowned: Yannick Holste came out on top in the overall standings and secured the title of Pumpfoil Champion 2025 Overall. He was followed by Andreas Schneider and Bastian Frantzheld in second and third place, who also put in outstanding performances. In the women's competition, Jette Koep triumphed ahead of Marnie Bertram, while Anne Unruh took third place.

In addition to the sporting highlights, the Pumpfoil Festival 2025 also impressed with its outstanding framework conditions. The picturesque setting at Gut Wittmoldt near Plön provided an idyllic backdrop for the event, while the glorious summer weather ensured perfect conditions. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere allowed participants and visitors to exchange ideas, make new contacts and talk shop about the latest developments in the pump foil scene.
