The SUP Alps Trophy enters a new round in 2025. The popular race series for stand-up paddlers comprises six stages in four countries (annual calendar below). From May to September, professionals and amateurs can compete in various SUP disciplines. A new feature is that only the best three results count towards the overall ranking. This allows more flexibility for the participants and promises excitement right up to the last race.
The season starts on 17 and 18 May at the Altmühlsee in Bavaria. A Big SUP Race and a Sprint Race are on the programme here. Both fun racers and professionals can compete in the long distance category. The flat lake offers ideal conditions for fast times and tactical races. Interested parties also have the opportunity to test equipment and exchange ideas with other paddlers.
From 29 May to 1 June, the "The Lake Rocks Festival" on Lake Faak in Austria is an absolute highlight. As an ICF World Cup event, it attracts the international elite of SUP sport. In addition to SUP Aircross, Big SUP Race and Funrace, a "Fastest Paddler" competition is also on the programme. Professionals will also compete in the Tech Race and Longdistance for prize money totalling 12,000 euros. The combination of high-calibre sport and festival atmosphere makes this event a must for SUP enthusiasts.
The SUP Alps Trophy moves to the city at the end of June. At the Graz Riverdays From 27 to 29 June, there will be a varied programme on the Mur. Professionals can compete in the long-distance race with 2,000 euros in prize money. There is a Downriver iSUP Funrace for amateurs. There will also be a tech race, where manoeuvrability and technique will be in demand. The urban backdrop and the current of the Mur promise exciting competitions and a unique SUP experience in the centre of the city.
In the middle of summer, on 12 and 13 July, the tour makes a stop at Lago di Alpi near Erfurt. In addition to equipment tests, participants can look forward to a tech race and a fun race. The highlight is the long-distance pro race, where the athletes' endurance is put to the test. With its infrastructure, the lake offers ideal conditions for competitions and spectators alike.
At the beginning of September, the SUP Alps Trophy leaves the Alpine region and moves to the sea. Competitions in various categories will take place in Koper, Slovenia, on 6 and 7 September. In addition to the Pro Longdistance and SUP Tech Race, there will also be an iSUP Race and children's races. The seaside backdrop and the potentially more challenging conditions promise spectacular images and challenge the athletes' versatility.
The crowning finale is the "Legend of Fox" event on Lake Wolfgangsee from 27 to 28 September. Paddlers meet in St. Gilgen for the season finale. The programme includes fun races, a long-distance pro race and sprint races. This is where the winner of the SUP Alps Trophy 2025 will be decided. The picturesque backdrop of the Salzkammergut provides a worthy setting for the season finale.
