Directly on Lake Faak At Strandcamping Gruber you have the opportunity to test the latest products from the brands Light, Fanatic, Starboard, JP and SIC from Friday to Sunday. You can also obtain comprehensive information from other exhibitors from the fields of sport, leisure and health.
In addition, at the start on 20 MayPro Paddler SUP Clinics are offered. Intermediates, beginners and racers receive free training from top paddlers in the racing scene. The Austrian and German champions and the ICF Master World Champion will be on hand to give you advice and support.
The race programmeof THE LAKE ROCKS includes competitions on all three festival days. Thanks to the support of the paddling town of Villach (Tourismusverband Villach GmbH), the first 200 registrations for the Long Distance PRO Race will receive the exclusive THE LAKE ROCKS long-sleeved lycra for free. The FUN Race is the beginners' platform of the SUP Alps Trophy and is also suitable for all children. Family, friends and SUP enthusiasts can compete here. This race is free of charge.

Friday, 20 May, Strandcamping Gruber: XXL Team Race
The competition for groups of friends,Clubs and companies. The competition programme starts with the team competition on the XXL SUP boards. From 15:00, teams of 6 to 8 people battle it out in duels of two with skill, coordination and team spirit until the final.
After the racethe party weekend begins with an award ceremony and live music at the event site.
Saturday, 21 May, Strandcamping Gruber: PRO Longdistance Race & FUN Race
The Saturday of the race starts at 13:00 with the Long Distance PRO Race - a 12-kilometre race in three laps from Strandcamping Gruber around the Faaker See island to the big turning buoy at Panorama Beach Villach and back to the event area.
As with all applications of THE LAKE ROCKS, anyone and everyone can take part in this race. In the PRO Race you can compete with top international paddlers from Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Slovenia over a distance of 12 kilometres. The race is also the season opener for the SUP ALPS TROPHY PRO RaceClass and the winners will share 1st to 5th place. prize money totalling € 2,400.
At 15:00 starts the FUN Race around the Faaker See island with a distance of 2 kilometres. The ideal introduction to the SUP race circus. Here you can compete with friends and like-minded people. Kids are also in good hands and can win their own medals in a special competition.
In the afternoon and eveningthe big award ceremony will then take place on stage and we will also select the fastest Villach residents, the FASTEST LOCALS, for the FUN Race. Afterwards, the start of the SUP ALPS TROPHY 2022 season will be celebrated with live music.
Sunday, 22 May, Panorama Beach: TECH Race
From 09:30 amall SUP enthusiasts can find out about the latest products from leading manufacturers and test them on the water at Strandcamping Gruber.
On the opposite bank The start of the TECH RaceStart takes place at 12.30 pm at Panorama Beach Faaker See. Here the racers can qualify for the finals in several heats with 8 - 12 people. The race starts on the beach and comprises approx. 1000 metres of paddling around several buoys and a small "portage" on the beach. Anyone can take part in this race and prove their strength, endurance and skill on the buoys.
The award ceremony will then take place on stage from 15:30.
