In stand-up paddleboarding, Normen Weber of Kanu-Schwaben Augsburg successfully defended his title in the 160-metre parallel sprint yesterday, 23 August 2026, on Lake Maschsee. In the final of the 160-metre parallel sprint, the seasoned competitor prevailed against the young Marlon Daskiran (WPH Berlin) and, following his victory in 2025, secured the German championship title once again at the Finals. This marked Weber’s third consecutive victory at the Finals.
With a near-perfect start, Weber laid the foundations for his victory. In a thrilling neck-and-neck race, the seasoned competitor held his own right up to the finish line and was ultimately able to celebrate winning the title once again. “It gets tougher every year, but the youngsters push me to perform even better,” said the 39-year-old after the race. Benyam Bossack (SUP Kids Makkum) completed the podium in third place.
