At the largest lake in Tyrol, the Achensee near the German border, there will once again be the opportunity to test the brand new equipment from various manufacturers in June. At the Atoll Achensee event site in Häusern at the southern end of the lake, there will be a varied programme with a beach bar, parties and numerous exhibitor stands. According to the organisers, the area is ideal for beginners due to the shallow access to the lake.
New additions to the Testival programme this year are the pumping workshops from AK Durable Supply. And should there be too little wind in between, Nox Cycles offers a perfect alternative to water sports with its e-mountainbike workshops.
"Lake Achensee is characterised by a unique backdrop for water sports enthusiasts and often proves its remarkable changeability within a few hours: After a mostly calm phase in the morning, the largest lake in Tyrol becomes an Eldorado for water sports fans in the afternoon due to the wind picking up," explain those responsible for the Wingfoil Achensee team.
Numerous exhibitors will be presenting their latest products, including Duotone, ION, JP-Australia, Cabrinha, NeilPryde, Starboard, Freewing, AK Durably Supply and Ensis. Everything can be tried out directly on the lake. There is also a children's programme and free taster courses for wingfoiling/wingsurfing. The organisers would like to point out that workshops must be booked in advance (achensee.com).
