Voting is currently underway for the Foil Awards 2026, which recognise special athletes and projects related to foiling. Among the nominees are numerous PWA riders, iQFOiL athletes and wingfoil pros who you can vote for. The awards have been organised by the makers of Foiling Week magazine and the We Are Foiling project since 2016 and cover all water sports.
Justine Lemeteyer and Matteo Iachino, the two foil world champions from the World Cup, will of course be there, with special support from the PWA. Emma Wilson and Andy Brown are nominated from the iQFOiL sector. The wingfoilers are particularly well represented, here you can vote for Bastien Escofet, Nia Suardiaz, Marie Schlittenbauer, Mathis Ghio, Madalena Spanu, Viola Lippitsch and Cash Berzolla.
One special candidate is Erwan Jauffroy, who set the world record for the longest uninterrupted foiled distance on the SUP with 156.6 kilometres. The PWA Youth Foil Tour is nominated in the Future Projects category, as are two wingfoil projects for physically impaired athletes. Starboard can look forward to two nominations; in addition to a new foil mast, the brand has also been nominated for its Plastic Offset programme. You can also vote for two events, the Defi Wing and the Crozon Foil Festival.
