Product of the week: Bargain trainer from Aldi
Zero degrees, rain and the Christmas roast is still not burnt? How about this? Aldi Nord has a sling trainer in its programme from today for 12.99 euros. We bought one from Aldi Süd last week and took a closer look to see if it was worth it.

So-called "sling trainers"are among the most versatile training devices. However, prices of over 100 euros for the high-end parts are often a deterrent, especially as the readily available components such as tensioning straps, handles and clamps encourage you to make your own. With the cheaper online offers, the straps are sometimes quite short, so that only some of the possible exercises can be performed.

At the Aldi-Trainerat the price of a normal tensioning strap, the price advantage of the tinkering is already gone, the supplied door anchor alone usually costs more than the complete set here.

Test impression: The Sling Trainer is still easy to store in a mesh bag, even without the cardboard box. The strap length reaches down to the floor with normal height doors, and both straps can be adjusted separately in length quickly and easily. The handles are softly padded and comfortable to grip. The door anchor for hanging over the door makes a solid impression. In terms of training options, the Aldi trainer is not really inferior to much more expensive equipment. The thickness of the straps used is certainly not quite on a par with professional equipment for studios, but they should be able to withstand home use for quite a while. After all, the device is suitable for up to 125kg body weight, which is rarely achieved by stand-up paddlers. It also comes with a three-year manufacturer's warranty.

I mean, that you can't really go wrong with the Aldi sling trainer at this price, the training options are extremely varied. You can find tonnes of exercises on the internet. And for 12.99 it's really not worth doing it yourself.
