The details of the Croslake Bomber 4.2
The second version of the four-part Croslake Bomber 4.2 is equipped with a noticeably stiffened stand area and a large second storage compartment with direct access from the cockpit.

The board is particularly impressive in the test (Test Bomber Version I here) again with its outstanding tipping stability, almost like a boat with a keel - which is mainly due to the lower position compared to inflatables. Assembled in the correct position and sequence, the parts are put together quite quickly and without tools using the large knurled screws. In any case, the tedious inflating process is completely eliminated.

The fin is simply inserted from above just before entering the water and conveniently slides up when it touches the bottom. In the water, the otherwise very high total weight is then somewhat less noticeable, with more paddle pressure the displacement bow cuts through the water beautifully and visually conveys a smooth, calm glide. The board clearly favours smooth water. The black "test" bomber made of recyclable thermoplastic (robust, but also heavier than laminated boards - but Croslake offers rollers that can be mounted at the tail) was still in pre-production, the final weight will follow on the website. A Three-piece in 11 feet (tested here) with a slightly longer centre section has also been launched in the meantime, but is currently (as of March 2025) not available.
