The Naish board really does stand out from the usual range of pointed touring shapes. The origins of stand-up paddling can still be recognised in many of the shape details. The board is somewhat reminiscent of a Malibu longboard, but offers surprisingly good touring qualities. As a 32-inch wide hardboard, it is extremely stable and carries even heavy paddlers safely, but you can also go far back to turn. This also gives you particularly good stability and allows you to turn the board in the tightest of spaces for as long and as often as you like. The wide tail offers maximum stability, even with one foot behind the luggage net.
Straight ahead, the Touring 12'0'' is stable and runs very smoothly at normal touring speed, even with little paddling power. This means you can keep up well with your buddies, but you won't win a real final sprint to the break station against narrower flat water specialists. The rocker line, i.e. the deflection in the underwater hull, has obviously been very well tuned for touring in shallow water. The wide, voluminous bow ensures a dry deck and plenty of load capacity, splashing flat over the water with little resistance. The board does not part the lake like the Kanushapes, but glides easily over it. The weight is very acceptable for a hardboard of this size, and eyelets for a shoulder strap are integrated into the edge.
If you want to experience Hawaiian style on European waters, the Naish is also ideal for inland lake tours. The board also carries heavy paddlers and a lot of luggage.
Super stable, good glide when touring, high payload.
