Kai Lenny and Quatro shaper Keith Teboul are launching a new SUP line together. The "Kai Lenny Vault" SUP series is the result of a long-standing collaboration between the multiple SUP world champion and the shape legend. The collection comprises three models that cover all areas of use, from performance surfing to longboard cruising. The boards will be available from selected retailers worldwide in the coming weeks.
According to the manufacturer, the three models in the "Kai Lenny Vault" SUP series are characterised by sophisticated outlines, advanced materials and a multidisciplinary approach. "Each model reflects Kai's unique riding style," emphasises Quatro. The series includes:
The roots of the collaboration between Kai Lenny and Keith Teboul go way back; since 2019, Keith Teboul has been designing all the boards that Kai Lenny rides - from Jaws to Mavericks to Nazaré, from Ho'okipa to Indonesia to the North Shore of Oahu, from SUP to windsurfing to wingfoiling and tow-in surfing. "All these sports influence each other. The more time I spend on the water, regardless of the discipline, the better I get - and the more fun I have," explains Kai Lenny. This versatility and his innovative riding style flow directly into the new SUP collection, emphasises Quatro.
Kai Lenny started surfing at the age of four, discovered windsurfing at six, stand-up paddling at seven and foiling and tow-in surfing at nine. The new "Kai Lenny Vault" SUP collection is the result of Lenny's many years of experience in the SUP sector. "Since his early SUP days, Kai has been pushing the boundaries of SUP wave riding," says the manufacturer. "He constantly incorporates his innovative vision and style on the water into the boards he rides." Lenny has won eight SUP world titles to date in both racing and wave disciplines and has also won the legendary Molokai 2 Oahu Long Distance SUP World Championship. Keith Teboul, active as a shaper since 1994 with his own label Quatro, translates Kai Lenny's unfiltered feedback into constantly evolving custom boards.
