The Mistral Ventura is certainly one of the best touring SUPs - stable and yet with a sporty, fast paddling feel. Two luggage nets complete the touring equipment. The board paddles wonderfully freely, even over choppy waves against the wind. As a "windsurfer", the board is only suitable for advanced surfers. Without the centre fin option, it only goes moderately upwind and reacts extremely hesitantly to rig steering because the pointed bow stubbornly dictates the direction. The lightweight construction is too good for "gimmicks" and the bow is too smooth.
