With its very narrow, rounded front section, the nose of the Waterline is always in the water. The narrow tip "sticks" even more pointedly through the water surface than the other test candidate, the JP-Australia GT-S Carbon 14'0'', and the subjectively perceived resistance seems even a shade lower.
Here too, the wide tail looks like invisibly mounted training wheels: you look at the narrow bow and are surprised at the stable planing position that hardly matches the sleek look. The Waterline takes lateral waves noticeably better than the JP board, where the pure flat water specialist comes through a little stronger in character. The board is particularly impressive in calm water with a very light paddle pull and plenty of speed.
A board for anyone looking for a sleek raceboard feeling, but without the corresponding wobbly handling. The front deck is optimised for carrying at least light day luggage.
The sports and day tourer for flat water. You won't find a more lively ride with almost the same tipping stability.
Extremely fast and light-footed, yet unexpectedly stable.
