Waterman Kai Lenny and legendary shaper Keith Teboul unveiled a joint SUP range featuring three different models last year. Now, in a new video, Teboul goes into detail about the most radical model, the Wave-SUP Surf Pro. “This board is developed from Kai Lenny’s shortboard surfboard; he came to me with some of his designs and wanted something that came from shortboard surfing into the SUP world,” explains the shaper in the video. “We worked a lot on the outline, a little bit narrower nose.”
The Quatro Surf Pro features a V-shaped hull along its entire length, as well as a pulled down rail for good grip when turning. “It has a pretty progressive surf rocker, so the more you push, the more the board turns”, the shaper goes on to explain. Furthermore, the standing area is reinforced with carbon, and the pad has been adapted from the foil sector.

As well as the Surf Pro, the Quatro Kai Lenny Vault range also includes the all-rounder “Mid Length” and the “Log” longboard. The collaboration between Kai Lenny and Keith Teboul goes back a long way; and since 2019, Keith Teboul has been designing all the boards Kai Lenny rides – from Jaws to Mavericks to Nazaré, from Ho’okipa to Indonesia to the North Shore of Oahu, from SUP to windsurfing to wing foiling and tow-in surfing. “All these sports influence one another. The more time I spend on the water, whatever the discipline, the better I get – and the more fun I have,” explains Kai Lenny. Quatro emphasises that this versatility and his innovative riding style are directly incorporated into the new SUP collection.
