Starboard launches two new iSUPs for beginners and families
Starboard is expanding its portfolio with two new iSUPs. The iGO One and the Touring One are aimed at beginners, but come with proven and lightweight technology.

For the 2026 season, Starboard is expanding its iSUP range with the two new models iGO One and Touring One. The brand is focussing on a combination of beginner-friendliness and an attractive price-performance ratio. Both boards come in a complete package with paddle and accessories.

Starboard iGO One: Easy paddling for beginners and schools

The Starboard iGO One is primarily aimed at beginners and SUP schools. The aim is to offer a popular shape variant in an affordable format and at the same time deliver an extremely lightweight product that is easy to transport. The iGO One is based on the proven shape, it has a straight outline and a narrow centre section, allowing the paddle to be guided closer to the board. According to the manufacturer, this increases comfort and stability when paddling and at the same time ensures good directional stability and faster gliding. The wide tail makes it possible to pedal backwards and make fast, controlled turns. This combination makes the board particularly suitable for beginners who need a stable platform but still want agile riding behaviour.

The iGO ONE is available in the size 10'8" x 33" and is suitable for paddlers weighing up to 120 kg. With a width of 33 inches (83.8 cm) and a length of 10'8" (325.1 cm), it offers a stable and comfortable platform for paddling. The construction of the board is based on Deluxe Lite technology, which ensures a low weight of just 7.5 kg. Particularly noteworthy is the Welded Rail Technology, which creates a completely airtight, mechanically connected seam without glue. According to the manufacturer, this makes the board more durable and more resistant to signs of ageing.

More on the topic:

Compared to the regular iGO model from Starboard, the iGO ONE has a few differences. While both boards are manufactured in the Deluxe Lite construction, the iGO ONE only has one carrying handle in the centre, while the standard model has three handles. There are also differences in the fin: although the iGO ONE also uses a three-piece fin system, it does not have the drop-shape design of the standard model. The iGO ONE also lacks a shoulder strap and the pump supplied has a fixed base instead of a foldable one. On the other hand, the iGO ONE scores points with the included three-piece paddle, which is not included with the standard model.

Starboard Touring One

The Touring One complements Starboard's existing Touring line and is also based on an established shape. The iSUP is designed to offer a balanced compromise between gliding characteristics and stability. The wider nose and squarer tail increase stability even in demanding conditions, the manufacturer promises. The Touring One is characterised by its special shape, which offers a balanced compromise between gliding properties and stability. The wider nose and squarer tail increase stability even in demanding conditions. The combination of length and width makes the Touring One a versatile board for touring on lakes, rivers and in moderate coastal conditions.

Compared to the regular touring model from Starboard, there are also some differences with the Touring One. While the standard touring board is manufactured in the Deluxe construction, the Touring One uses the lighter Deluxe Lite version. Another difference, as with the iGO One, is the number of handles: The Touring One only has one carry handle in the centre, while the standard model is equipped with three handles. Both models use the same drop-shape finbox and have vertical red bungee lashings. However, the Touring One is supplied without a shoulder strap, which is included with the standard model. There are also differences in the pump supplied: the Touring One comes with a pump with a fixed base, while the standard model has a pump with a folding base. Another difference concerns the paddle supplied: the paddle included with the Touring One has no groove, while the paddle of the standard model is equipped with a groove.

Entry-level iSUPs as complete packages

Both new Starboard iSUPs are supplied as a complete set, which includes a three-piece Tufskin paddle in addition to the board. According to the manufacturer, this paddle has been specially developed for beginners and families who just want to get out on the water and have fun. The scope of delivery also includes a lightweight leash, a Tiki double lift pump and a roll bag. The foldable drop-fin box is particularly practical, allowing the board to be rolled 33% smaller while reducing water resistance by 50%.
