That's right, the name Fanatic still exists! While the windsurfing and foil division was merged into Duotone around two years agothe traditional name will be retained for the SUP area. And there is some news there: Following an extensive customer survey, in which weight and packing volume emerged as the decisive purchasing criteria for inflatable SUPs, Fanatic has fundamentally revised its entire iSUP range. The brand announced this in a press release in which the new boards are presented.
"Instead of the industry-standard knitted material, we have switched to woven drop-stitch material for all our inflatable boards," says Fanatic. "This material is 20% lighter, but still stiffer. Just as importantly, the woven material is much easier and more compact to roll." At the same time, Fanatic promises improved durability and longevity of the products thanks to machine-welded seams. The EVA deck pad has also been redesigned with an additional split in the centre, which further reduces the weight and makes it even more compact to roll up.
New features for more versatility
In addition to the new technology, Fanatic has added some practical features to its iSUP range. For example, the boards now have additional E-rings in the tail to which a seat can optionally be attached, and the iSUPs have also been given a combined towing and action camera mount. Practical: the new combined lashing and shoulder strap not only secures the rolled-up board, but can also be used as a carrying strap. The accessories have also been optimised: The completely redesigned bag comes as a pure rucksack and, according to the manufacturer, is 50% lighter than its predecessor.
The new iSUP range from Fanatic covers all areas of use with various models. The Fly Air SLT is designed as an all-rounder for beginners and advanced riders and is available in three sizes. For touring and freerace enthusiasts, Fanatic offers the Ray Air SLT in two lengths. The Ripper Air SLT has been specially developed for children and teenagers. The Viper Air SLT combines SUP and windsurfing in one board, while the Fly Air XL is designed as a group SUP for up to seven people.

New paddle range completes the offering
Fanatic is also presenting a revised paddle collection to match the new iSUP range. The highlight is the Bamboo Carbon 60 Slim with a 60% carbon core and elegant bamboo finish. The Carbon 40 Slim with 40% carbon content is suitable for beginners and advanced paddlers. The Pure paddle is designed as an inexpensive entry-level paddle, while the Ripper Pure has been specially developed for children. All paddles have a newly designed blade shape for better power transmission and higher efficiency as well as an anti-twist system for comfortable paddling.
