When it comes to handling and transport, inflatables are unbeatable. With beginners and occasional windsurfers in mind, Naish is now launching two new inflatable windsurf boards. The Naish Kailua XR is designed like a classic iSUP and is intended to make getting started in windsurfing particularly easy. With a volume of 340 litres and a length of just under 320 cm, it offers plenty of stability for those first attempts at launching. As well as a centre fin, there are also two side fin boxes to help you stay on course and ride upwind. The package includes fins, a pump, a repair kit and a carry bag.
The second model, the Naish Stratos, is in turn aimed at advanced windsurfers and, according to the manufacturer, is also set to delight ‘freeride enthusiasts’. To this end, the stern features the necessary trailing edge in the form of a rubber lip, enabling higher speeds and even allowing the board to plane. The Stratos’ outline is based on the hardboard models, and footstraps are also included. The centre fin provides directional stability, whilst a high-quality fin can be screwed into the US box at the tail if desired. With a volume of 210 litres and a length of 240 cm, the Stratos is significantly more compact than its big brother, the Kailua. This model also comes as a complete package including a bag, pump, fins and a repair kit.
