Test 2017 - Allround boards: NRS Escape 11'6'' x 32''
This little-known SUP brand has a wealth of experience in canoeing. The board looks very solid; at 15.8 centimetres, it is the thickest and stiffest board in the group.

Numerous eyelets on the deck and also on the side of the rail enable optimum luggage lashing at the front and rear. We liked the mixture of very good tipping stability and a sporty look when paddling. The board has a moderately upturned nose, but glides quite smoothly at the front. As expected, it turns well and safely with these characteristics, with a step far back on the grippy and heavily padded wedge pad you turn the Escape into a turning wonder. The back foot then stands securely on the board, making turning fun.

PLUS Particularly stiff, well-equipped, good pad, tilt-stableMINUS Valve connection rarely used in SUP

CONCLUSION A solid-looking board with good touring character, but also recommended as an all-rounder for short distances.
