Test 2017 - Touring and fitness boards: RRD Airace V3 12'6'' x 29''
The RRD Airace is one of the narrower, sport-orientated boards in this group - it also comes from the race line with some even more extreme boards.

The board glides a little more stable than the JP-Australia or GTS, but then comes the RRD. The board is very easy to paddle, so the RRD achieves a high average speed that is easy to paddle, even among the narrow boards. The narrow board requires very little paddling power. For short, powerful sprints, the tail could be a little narrower. However, this leaves a good sporty compromise, which also enables good turns, even if not quite as safe as on the boards with wide tails. Despite the perhaps off-putting "race" label, the RRD has established itself as a sporty fitness board that is also a good touring partner for more experienced paddlers.

PLUS Fast, light-footed paddling and gliding feeling on the board

ConclusionVery sporty touring or training bike. You shouldn't be put off by the "Race", given the 29'' width.
