Whenever kids' races are on the programme at any event, Laura and Hannah usually end up at the front. So far, they have been on old windsurf boards or short, inflatable adult SUPs. The old windsurf boards (3 metres long, 60 centimetres wide) have a rough base coat and are pointed at the front; on the short adult SUPs, some of which are 30 inches wide, the kids can only get the paddle into the water at an angle. This spoils their technique and they can only paddle moderately straight ahead.10' x 25'' is the new Kids-Racerbut you shouldn't be put off by the "Race". It is simply an inflatable board with optimum proportions for 5 to at least 12-year-olds.
Only 4 inches thick, it can be easily pushed into the water even by eight-year-old girls and then turns like clockwork. Straight ahead, the kids canInsert paddle almost verticallyThe board runs smoothly and nimbly. Our test youngsters also liked the colour and the large, flat deck is great for messing around on without the risk of injury. The low weight is great, children can really carry a board like this themselves.
Playing, paddling tours or kids races - the new children's inflatable combines everything that is important for young inland paddlers.
Pumped up, such a board isTwice as fast like a thick 12'6'' adult board. You need less pressure and significantly less air fits in.
Conclusion: Absolute tip. Perhaps the only purebred kids' board at the moment. And the dads of our test ladies are already in serious negotiations within the family.
