Made for surfing in small surf with radical turning characteristics.
The Air Wave is available in two sizes: 8'6" and 9'0". Only the former was available. It appears noticeably smaller and more manoeuvrable than its competitors. This is perhaps also due to the US box fin system. Especially when planing in front of the wave, it has a free surfing feeling.
Conclusion The compact wave concept with windsurfing option inspires wave riding in small surf. The RRD turns radically and almost tends to carve.
