Two carbon paddles from the range we have already been able to paddle extensively. On the one hand, the three-part paddleDistance and the one-piece race paddleTrydent. The "Distance" modelis launched with a clearly curved and strongly profiled paddle blade, which is finished in high-quality carbon. The first thing you notice about the shaft is the unusual surface structure.
This is a shaft that was probably first finished smooth and then polished into a jagged, matt pattern. What feels a little unusual on land proves to be extremely non-slip on the water. Even during longer sessions in the waves, when the paddle is actually constantly wet, the Distance offers a good grip at all times, even on the lower hand.
The adjustment system of the Vario clamp holds securely and is well rounded. It also offers effective anti-twist protection, which ensures quick and safe adjustment even in difficult conditions on the water.
The successful paddleis rounded off at the top by a large, voluminous carbon handle that is comfortable to grip. The plug-in connection of the three-part paddle is hexagonal and therefore secured against twisting.
The only criticism The only drawback of the otherwise very successful paddle is the rather stiff push button on the lower paddle division.
Otherwise convincingThe paddle with good weight, good stiffness and a very clean catch (penetration of the paddle blade) of the curved blade in all conditions. The paddle builds up medium to good pressure and is therefore well suited as a versatile all-rounder.
In the price range offeredThe paddle is so convincing and offers a unique feature thanks to its unusual shaft coating. The adjustment range of the paddle extends from 1.7 to 2.20 metres. It weighs 704 grams.

The trydent weighs weighs a light and airy 467 grams and swings forwards and backwards accordingly. The completely matt-finished shaft with a slightly oval cross-section is very grippy in the hand and impresses with its good stiffness without appearing stubborn. The paddle is also extremely light on the water and starts cleanly, the pressure build-up is rather medium, which should suit lighter paddlers and save energy for longer distances.
In its price rangethe paddle sets a benchmark, but does not quite match the stiffness of the most extreme race paddles, although the smaller blade size means it does not flex noticeably on the water. The "T-Grip" is very grippy in the hand, allowing the paddle to be guided with great control, and the shape also suits small to large hands equally well.
The leaf of the Trydentis slightly narrower and smaller than on the Trident and therefore encourages a fast frequency, which is supported by the low swing weight and is very pleasantly motivating. A paddle for high frequencies with slightly less pressure.
The paddle is designed as a one-piece and must be shortened to the appropriate length and glued after purchase.
