For many years, the surf forum was a place for the community to exchange ideas. Unfortunately, we had to close the forum on 31 March 2022.

Dear users of the surf forum,

Unfortunately, we had to close our forum on 31 March 2022 for technical reasons. The software version used had become outdated and software support from the provider vBulletin was discontinued. The licence for an update was not the problem in this context, but the implementation of the programming would have been very costly and disproportionate.

As we take the issue of data protection and cyber security very seriously, we were therefore forced to take this step, as continuing the forum would have made it much easier to steal personal user data, as security patches are no longer offered.

Thank you for your contributions over the last few years! If you have any questions about equipment, spots and riding technique,always like to write us a Mail we will be happy to help you!

Manuel Vogel, born in 1981, lives in Kiel and learned to windsurf at the age of six at his father's surf school. In 1997, he completed his training as a windsurfing instructor and worked for over 15 years as a windsurfing instructor in various centers, at Kiel University sports and in the coaching team of the “Young Guns” freestyle camps. He has been part of the surf test team since 2003. After completing his teaching degree in 2013, he followed his heart and started as editor of surf magazine for the test and riding technique sections. Since 2021, he has also been active in wingfoiling - mainly at his home spots on the Baltic Sea or in the waves of Denmark.
