On land, it looks very beefy with its wide tail, but as soon as you stand on it while paddling, you only have a slim, flat bow in the water, similar to the Naish One, in your field of vision. The board then looks completely different, namely sporty, slim and fast, as only the person behind you can see the wide stern. It paddles smoothly and quickly, even if it's not the fastest (compared to the narrow ones), it still keeps up well and looks surprisingly sporty - especially considering the volume and width of the tail. The turning characteristics are extremely convincing. Not necessarily in the crossbow turn, where the flat nose has to be steered around, but after a big step onto the tail, the board invites you to perform real pirouettes, as if you could screw yourself into the lake. It turns like a humming top without any great risk of falling off.
PLUS Very stable; yet sporty feel; great in turns, especially over the rear; extremely light
ConclusionVery stable tourer that nevertheless conveys a sporty feeling.
