Three years ago, the only inflatable board on the German market was a ten-foot board from Redpaddle. We compared it with other fixed all-rounders and were already impressed by the concept back then. We wrote: "The Volkswagen among SUP boards!" A lot has happened in recent years. The iSUPs are stiffer, have more power and are better made.
The new generation iSUP all-rounds all have a round outline, but have different riding characteristics due to the different production sites and shapes. For example, the Core and the Bic, but also the TR are well suited for touring - thanks to their tipping and directional stability. In small waves, the JP, the Ari'inui or the RRD are great fun.
Every iSUP Allround is perfect for families and beginners. The JP with both rail thicknesses was a roar for tough use in white water. Today, we can still say that the iSUP Allround boards are the Volkswagen of SUP boards.
A test of selected iSUPs can be found here in the photo gallery. Plus a small market overview. You can find even more tests in the current SUP Bookazine, in magazine and book shops or on this website. You can also download this test as a PDF below.
