The Rise model has always been one of the bestsellers in the NeilPryde range - which is probably also due to its lower price compared to the premium models. Now the Neo has been given an update - we were able to test the Rise Plus FZ 5/4 try it out.
In this case, the abbreviation "FZ" stands for "front zip"; alternatively, the Neo is also available with a back zip ("BZ") and in various summer versions from shorties to steamers. The material of the Rise is pleasantly soft and moulds well to the shape of the body. A plush-like material has been incorporated on the inside, which now extends from the thighs up over the upper body. The entry is comfortable because it is generously dimensioned, even without the agility of a contortionist you can get into the Neo easily.
The seams and cuffs largely keep cold water out, but if you are very thin/slim, you may even have a little more room than you would like in the Rise Plus, which tends to have a wide cut. The Rise Plus has no additional seam taping on the inside. If water does get in at the top, it can drain away quickly via the integrated "drain holes", small holes above the ankles and below the neck cuff.
The Rise Plus FZ 5/4 Neo offers decent features and a good level of flexibility and comfort for a moderate budget - the test model costs 279.95 euros. The Neo's thermal insulation is good, although not quite on a par with the (sometimes significantly more expensive) premium models.
Information on the variants of the test neo and alternative models can be found at Online surf shop .
