We have summarised the eight parts of the riding technique series for freeride, freemove and wave in one PDF each. You can now download the right riding technique series for you as a PDF. The respective riding technique articles contain the following manoeuvres:

FREERIDE RIDING TECHNIQUE

- Speed driving:Fast straight ahead - that's all it needs to be for many windsurfers. The main thing is to be faster than their surfing mates. Where your personal speed limit lies is largely up to you: With the right technique and the perfect set-up of your equipment.

- Chop hop: "Flying" or "sticking"? It's often only the little things that make the difference. Here are the tips that make the difference.

- Sliding on and through:Gliding is bliss - at least if you're not the only one parking. You can get up to speed quickly with the right technique and the right set-up.

- Tuning:Why do lightweights ride the harness ropes further forwards? Why does the fork have to go up on wide boards? And what does the fin length have to do with the tail width? surf provides answers.

- Avoid spinouts: Everyone knows it, everyone can do it, nobody wants it - the spinout. But few people know why it happens and what adjustments can be made to avoid it. Stay on track with these surf tips.

How do you like this article?

- Stay on course! Those who switch from classic shapes to short and wide boards often have the problem that the board unintentionally turns into the wind when planing. To keep everything on course, you need to adapt your technique a little and make some fine adjustments...

- Shortboard turnaround: Everyone needs it, but hardly anyone can do it - the turn on the shortboard often causes problems, and not just since boards have become shorter and shorter. We'll show you how to smoothly switch to the other side.

- Better carving:Whether or not you can slide through the jibe is partly decided before the manoeuvre even begins. We'll show you three key points that you can use to lay the foundation for a cleanly carved turn when initiating the turn.

FREEMOVE DRIVING TECHNIQUE

- Duck Jibe Handwash:The duck jibe is cult - hardly any manoeuvre on flat water is as timeless and stylish. With the one-handed version, you can even go one better.

- Backwind Jibe: Switch to the other side at full speed and then, standing back, ride a jibe - the backwind jibe is also one of the classics that have been unjustly relegated to the shadows. surf brings it back into the light.

- Duck Tack:Even 20 years after its heyday, the dipped tack still has everything that a beautiful windsurfing manoeuvre needs: style, elegance and yes, a certain degree of difficulty.

- Bodydrag: Hardly any other manoeuvre combines so much show factor and fun with such low learning requirements as the bodydrag. A lot of speed, a little effort and the surf tips will have you grinding in no time.

- Pushtack:Turning variations are sometimes considered unsexy. The Pushtack certainly doesn't need to feel that way, as it combines elegance, power and technique.

- Flip 360: The 360 to windward is much easier than its counterpart to leeward, the Carving 360, and with a little practice and a few exercises in light winds, this classic can be cracked.

- Stable Tack: What begins like a bad joke by a technical clown turns into a magician's trick within two seconds when the discarded sail floats back into the surfer's hand as if by magic. Learn to be a magician!

- Air Jibe: It has been over 15 years since Josh Stone opened the door to a new dimension. And even if the discipline of freestyle has become increasingly alien to many amateur surfers, the air jibe has lost none of its appeal as the mother of all moves.

WAVE DRIVING TECHNOLOGY

- Right of way in the wave:There are clear rules to ensure that surfing in the waves is not like a winter sales table. These differ fundamentally from those in flat water. An update for all occasional surfers and newcomers.

- Through the surf: Surfing in the waves is great fun. But to get to where the skins are distributed, you first have to get out safely through the surf. We'll show you how.

- One-handed cutbacks:It doesn't always have to be something new - sometimes it's enough to casually drag a hand in the water to turn a normal cutback into a real eye-catcher.

- Backside wave rides:Small waves, onshore wind - backsider rides always work and are the starter drug for every wave aspirant. Find out how to get the most out of moderate conditions here.

- Shorebreak champion(s): Further out, everything seems easy - moderate waves and enough wind. If only there wasn't the entry shore called "Shorebreak", which many surfers have stumbled over and had to end their surfing day with broken equipment before it even began.

- Steep curve feeling:The symbiosis of the flat water classic Carving 360 and a small wave creates a real eye-catcher. Try it out!

- Clew first wave rides:When one of the most beautiful flat water manoeuvres, the duck jibe, is combined with wave riding, it becomes a stylish refresher course for every wave surfer.

- Maintain speed in the turn: Maintaining speed in the bottom turn is one of the most difficult and important things when riding waves. Find out here how you can do this better in the future and how you can also prepare for the next wave day in flat water.
