The video analysis was enormously helpful for me because it was only then that I realised that the jibe was not timed correctly, e.g. when shifting. I also only realised the importance of shifting my weight and the position of my feet after watching the video. The analysis helped me a lot and saved me a lot of time when learning the jibe.

Martin showed us how important it is to first have the basis of a fit body in order to then practise and implement the new skills learnt on the water for a longer period of time. The fitter your body and mind are, the more successful you will be on the water, and socialising with like-minded windsurfing enthusiasts over a delicious Greek meal was just as important and fun as the day on the water. In addition, there were many interesting insights into the windsurfing industry through Martin's stories. With a professional video analysis, just like in professional sport, I was able to recognise my jibing mistakes in detail much better so that I wouldn't make them again the next time I jibed.

Ex-F2 and JP manager Martin Brander is on a mission. "For every windsurfer, a perfectly glided jibe opens up a new dimension. Anyone who masters it discovers the full fascination of windsurfing." His first jibe camp in Rhodes last year was a complete success. The second edition has now followed. The participants report on their experiences in the picture gallery.

Martin uses the latest technology and teaching methods at his camp, including drone video analysis, a simulator for the beach, top instructional videos, waterproof radios and mental jibe training.

Andreas was born in 1962 and grew up in Osnabrück. He became passionate about windsurfing as early as 1974, when he learned to tack and jibe at one of the first surf schools on the Baltic Sea. Lake Dümmer became the favorite playground of his youth for him and his friends. In 1988, he joined Surf Magazin as a tester and later editor and was lucky enough to be able to turn his passion into a career.
