A special highlight awaits participants at the upcoming Winger and Racer of the Sea VIII in Kellenhusen (23/24 August): the 1001grad team is organising an exclusive photo shoot with water sports photographer Frithjof Blaasch, aka Bulgenslag. The free offer will take place the day before the event, i.e. on 23 August. All participants will receive professional photos that are ideal for personal photo albums, social media feeds or sponsor presentations. For amateur riders in particular, this is an opportunity to get unique action shots and perfect memories of the event.
The organisers Oliver Tom Schliemann and Leon Delle developed the photo shoot offer based on a specific need. "For the participants, pictures from the events are an important point, as they can use them profitably in the presentation of their sponsors, among other things. You often get photos of the regatta group as part of the contest, but the design options for getting individual shots of each participant are limited," explain the two organisers. The problem lies in the logistics of event photography: the photographers cannot be positioned everywhere at the same time or at every point on the regatta course. The exclusive private shoot the day before solves this problem and allows each participant to go home with professional individual shots.
Special support for young participants
In addition to the free photo shoot, there is a goodie for young water sports enthusiasts: thanks to boot Düsseldorf's youth sponsorship programme, participation in the regatta is free of charge for all under-19s. This measure is intended to promote young talent and give talented youngsters the opportunity to gain valuable competition experience.
