In the fourth foiling elimination, Wolf was initially knocked back to tenth place by a crash. Bob van de Burgt from the Netherlands won this race, followed by Jonne Heimann and Lars Poggemann. Pawel Dittrich took fourth place and Alisa Engelmann put in an impressive performance to finish fifth.
Fabian Wolf returned to his usual form in the fifth race and took first place. He was followed by Bob van de Burgt, Jonne Heimann, Pawel Dittrich and Alisa Engelmann. Lars Poggemann, who had previously been in the top 5, was pushed into seventh place by Keno Recke.
Alisa Engelmann drives strongly in the men's field
Fabian Wolf and Michele Becker are now tied for first place in the overall foiling rankings. However, due to the string rule, Wolf secured first place and pushed Becker into second place. Bob van de Burgt defended his podium position and remained in third place. Jonne Heimann showed a consistently strong performance and secured fourth place in the overall standings. Pawel Dittrich proved his skills as an experienced Grandmaster and took fifth place. Lars Poggemann fought his way to sixth place despite a setback in the last race. Erik Wehkamp showed a remarkable performance as the best junior in the U19 category and finished in seventh place.
Alisa Engelmann impressed with her outstanding performance in the strong men's field and achieved eighth place. Tjalve Böttger secured ninth place as the best participant in the U21 category. Paul Regber took eleventh place and was the best junior in the U17 category.
This Sunday is the last day of the California Windsurf Cup in Pelzerhaken. The last possible start is scheduled for 3 pm and participants and organisers are hoping for more races. Spectators will have an optimal view of the races from the pier, and there will be plenty to do on land. The award ceremony is planned for 5 pm.
