The German Sailing Association (DSV) is organising a training camp for young windsurfing and foiling talent in Kiel-Schilksee in August 2024.

The DSV camp is aimed at surfers in the Techno293 (official DSV youth boat class), iQFOiL Youth&Junior (pre-Olympic class) and iQFOiL U23 classes. Everyone from beginners to intermediate to advanced can take part in the training. The camp takes place from 12 to 18 August 2024 in Kiel-Schilksee and costs 280 euros per person.

Leon Delle from DSV explains: "First and foremost, we get as much water time as possible. The participants are divided into groups according to boat class and performance level, and we then give tips on sailing technique and tactics. The programme also includes regatta training and insights into Olympic competitive sport as well as possible career planning. If the wind doesn't play ball, there is a sports hall and a gym that we can use."

Accommodation and catering must be organised by the participants themselves, but it is possible to camp on site and book inexpensive meals. There is also the possibility of chartering foil equipment to a limited extent if you do not have your own foil equipment.

The camp is organised in cooperation with the state sailing associations MV and NRW and the class association, Deutsche Windsurfing Vereinigung e.V. (DWSV). There will be at least three licensed trainers in total to supervise the participants on the water and on land.
