DIY or off the peg? Storage space, humidity, boards on the roof or under the bed? These are all issues that occupy the surfers among campers. There is no right or wrong answer, but there is a huge selection of vehicle options. While the number of motorhomes and caravans on the market seems unmanageably large, there are only a limited number of offers specifically aimed at water sports enthusiasts.
Here are seven things that catch the eye of surfers at the trade fair:

3. large (motorbike) garages with plenty of storage space for windsurfing equipment
Windsurfers who don't want to climb onto the roof all the time need storage space under the bed in their camper van. Many windsurfers' own conversions are therefore similar to the concept for indoor motorbike transport from manufacturers such as Dreamer or Weinsberg.
Please note: There are longer garages with a lengthways bed above or shorter garages with a transverse bed above. Some of the beds can even be adjusted in height.

For those who have no more space in the bus: Short boards or sails can be easily clamped in the solid brackets from the manufacturer ETRVSCO in the lee of the rear doors.

A caravan that Hobby says belongs on the beach. The simple Beachy line with its beach look attracted many interested parties at the Caravon Salon. Park the caravan and take the estate car to the beach - why not?
6. the new Citroën Holidays with removable kitchen
Citroën is the new title sponsor of the Windsurf World Cup Sylt. In keeping with this, the French manufacturer is launching the "Holidays" model on the market.
Particularly interesting for surfers: removable rear bench and kitchen, sleeping in the pop-up roof, shower on the tailgate.

Whether modernisation, repair or a complete vehicle conversion. The special show in cooperation with the explorer & VANderlust magazines offered advice and expert knowledge to make your own project a success. Several self-built leisure vehicles showed what is possible.
