"Chasing Two Dreams" with Marion Mortefon: Short film about the balancing act between family and career

Marion Mortefon is one of the best slalom racers in the world; the Frenchwoman has several World Championship titles and plenty of event victories to her name. She became a mum at the beginning of 2025 and celebrated her comeback at the PWA World Cup in Japan in November. The two-part short film "Chasing Two Dreams" shows how Mortefon manages to juggle her sporting career and her family.

In the first part, Marion talks about her career, how she received more and more support after her first successes in the World Cup and was able to give up her job as an engineer to concentrate fully on windsurfing. Together with her brother Pierre, she also founded the Mortefon Watersports centre.

"Chasing Two Dreams" was filmed and edited by Robin Thomas, supported by Marion's sponsor Patrik. "In this short film, we leave the podium and head to the beach to witness the 'new normal'," reads the description. "It's a story about the balance between the pursuit of the world title and the quiet, precious moments of family life on the beach." The second part is due to be released on Sunday!
