Omhu from Hvide Sande collects plastic waste from the beaches around the Danish holiday resort and turns it into great accessories: key rings, coat hooks, jewellery, bracelets and other small items. There are also tree decorations to match the Christmas season. A special feature for SUP paddlers is a small hook for collecting rubbish, which can be attached to paddles using Velcro. At the IFCA World Championships in autumn, Omhu also made the medals from melted marine plastic. Wave pool in Munich
O2 Surftown MUC, the largest wave pool in Germany, opened in Erdinger Moos near Munich in autumn. "Here you can experience an authentic surfing day with perfect waves, an enthusiastic community, a friendly line-up, support from coaches and quick learning success in a safe environment," promise the operators. In October, the German World Surfing and Wave SUP Championships even took place there. Vouchers for a session are the perfect gift, you can choose between Beginner, A-Frame or Pointbreak mode.
For van life: sleeping bag, blanket and poncho in one
Space is tight in many surfer vans, and bedding and jackets in particular are indispensable, but bulky.
