Citroën Windsurf World Cup Sylt 2025: The highlights of the wave riding in the video

The forecast for Saturday, which was originally scheduled to be the last official competition day of the Citroën Windsurf World Cup Sylt 2025, always looked changeable. However, nobody had probably expected the day to turn out like this. Again and again, bands of rain swept across the North Sea, completely cancelling out the wind. Again and again, the riders bobbed through white water and currents without any pressure in the sail, again and again the signal for the cancellation of a heat sounded, again and again the blue and white chequered flag could be seen. In the first nine hours, only nine heats could be completed with difficulty.
However, the conditions improved at the end of the day and the wind finally stabilised at around 17:00, allowing the women to go full throttle until the final. In the last light of the day, Sol Degrieck sensationally took her first victory!
But the two semi-finals and the final of the men's single elimination were still to come. The contest was actually over, and during the night Storm Detlef hit the island with full force. What would the next day bring? Would it be safe to go out? Would there be enough crew available to extend the competition window by an extra day...?
