On the second day, the Pacific was already firing from all cylinders, pushing a massive swell onto the reef of Cloudbreak. The faces were well over mast-high and together with around 20 knots of wind from the perfect direction, it was a day that many will remember for a long time to come.
"I think I had the best wave of my life," enthused Jaeger Stone, who unfortunately injured himself in the process. It is still unclear whether he will be able to take his place in the final. In addition, Bernd Roediger, Baptiste Cloarec and Antoine Martin are some of the really big names in the semi-finals. Before they take to the water, there will be the intermediate round with Julian Salmonn, Robby Swift, Takuma Sugi and Taka Ishii, among others.
