At boot in Düsseldorf, we looked around for the best deals on windsurfing, wing and SUP equipment, and windsurfing boards are available in a decent selection of many brands and models

In addition to the manufacturers' new products, boot is also a playground for bargain hunters. We took a look around Hall 17 to see what offers can be found in the areas of windsurfing, wingfoiling and SUP.

The days when shops and retailers filled an entire hall at boot and sold off masses of discontinued models are long gone. But of course there are still one or two bargains to be had this year.

If you're looking for a SUP, you'll find it in all price ranges. From used iSUPs for 150 euros to luxury hardboards for four-figure sums, the range is huge. Less well-known brands are also represented with many models. Accessories, from paddles and SUP seats to buoyancy waistcoats, are also offered by the dealers at the trade fair.

There is also a wide range of wings on offer, especially discontinued models from previous years. A good selection of hard wingboards are also available and can be taken straight away. The spectrum ranges from small boards for advanced riders to beginner boards, and crossover boards such as the Naish Hover are also available.

If you are looking for a new windsurfing sail, the choice is rather limited, apart from a few second-hand sails and inexpensive children's or beginner sails. GunSails offers a trade fair discount on everything ordered at the stand, and there is also a 10% discount in the online shop. The situation is much better for boards: Discontinued and test boards are available in almost all categories from wave to freerace, even in the popular sizes. It's worth asking retailers specifically for the board you want, as there is often a discount on models from stock. There are plenty of wetsuits, harnesses and accessories such as buoyancy waistcoats, but the choice of models and sizes is sometimes limited.

We have put together a few of the trade fair offers for you in the gallery above!

Tobi is our digital man, he looks after the surf website and social media channels and gets on everyone's nerves every morning by asking for more pictures and videos. His surfing CV includes all the famous choppy water spots: As a teenager, he went from his home in Münsterland to the Ijsselmeer or the Brouwersdam, and during his civilian service on Sylt, after countless washes on the west side, the Königshafen became his preferred spot. After studying in Kiel and Heidkate, he was supposed to go to Hamburg “only for a short time”, but this short time has lasted for over ten years and has made him a “weekend warrior”. He goes on tour with his family and camper van as often as possible, often to the Baltic Sea, SPO or Denmark, but also likes to go to Finland, Sweden or Sardinia.
