Choppy Water GmbH has opened registration for the 2026 season of the California Windsurf Cup. Participants can now register via the official website for the start of the season in Kühlungsborn, the Summer Opening on Sylt, the regatta in St. Peter-Ording, the International German Championship on Sylt and the season finale with the IDJM iQFOiL Youth & Junior in Pelzerhaken. The series thus comprises five regular tour stops spread over the entire season. As in the previous season, the organiser is also relying on a cashback system in 2026 to ease the financial burden on committed participants. The bonus is aimed specifically at riders who commit to the entire series at an early stage and thus contribute to the planning security of the events.
Matthias Regber from Choppy Water GmbH justifies the continuation of the cashback programme with the rising costs in regatta sport. The bonus of 125 euros is intended to reward loyal participants and at the same time enable reliable season planning. The mechanics of the programme are deliberately kept simple: Anyone who registers for all five regular tour stops by 17 April at the latest will automatically qualify for the refund. Payment will be made at the end of the season, provided the participant has actually competed in at least four of the five regattas. This leaves a certain amount of leeway for unforeseen cancellations without the bonus being forfeited.
The Season Cashback bonus does not apply to participants who have already benefited from the boot cashback promotion benefit. This separate promotion is aimed exclusively at U21 starters and runs independently of the season cashback. ProAm events that are not part of the five regular tour stops are also excluded. The regulation is therefore clearly focussed on riders who are committed to the core series of the California Windsurf Cup.
