The collection will be presented in a retro look at the World Cup on Sylt and can be purchased in a pop-up store on the event site. In addition to high-quality hoodies, sherpas, T-shirts and beanies, the HiFly World Cup Edition also includes its own tote bags and sunglasses. The textile products are produced sustainably and are GOTS-certified. As the official World Cup supplier, HiFly also outfits the entire organisation team and the PWA crew.
Andrea Hoeppner, former HiFly team rider, three-time world champion and 1997 winner of the Sylt World Cup, is one of the people behind the relaunch. "The concept "From the water to the beach and into the city" transports the brand character beyond its origins into everyday life. The styles are just as easy to wear for the younger generation as they are for all those who have grown up with HiFly," reads a press release on the new look.
To support the relaunch of the brand, some old hands are coming to Sylt to talk about the successful Hifly days. On Saturday, 24 September, at 12:00 noon, there will be a panel discussion on the event stage with some members of the legendary World Cup team of the 80s. They will be joined by Erich Maderthaner from Austria and Helmut Kirner from Germany, who has accompanied the brand as a shaper long after his active time. The discussion will be moderated by Andrea Hoeppner.
As a board brand, HiFly was active in the heyday of windsurfing and built legendary boards such as the HiFly 555. Later, the brand tried to strike a balance between affordable and robust PE boards on the one hand and high-quality race boards on the other. The legendary Pro Model by Sean Ordonez also came from HiFly.
