From 24 to 26 January, some of the best freestylers in the world will be competing at boot Düsseldorf. The FPT Indoor Tow In Freestyle World Cup is one of the sporting highlights of the trade fair, and these pros will be there!

There are just under two weeks to go until the start of boot Düsseldorf 2025, where there are some exciting highlights to discover this year. In addition to the completely new look of Surf Hall 17, the programme on the large action pool has also been significantly expanded. In addition to wingfoiling, SUP and wakeboarding, the Tow In Freestyle Contest of the Freestyle Pro Tour (FPT) is the absolute top event for all windsurfing fans.

After several show runs in recent years, the Tow In in the hall will thus become the official event for the FPT annual ranking. With events in Geneva and Vieste, the tour has firmly established freestyle "without wind" as a discipline. Freestyle windsurfing thus comes directly to the spectators and to spots where normal windsurfing at contest level is hardly possible, and has grown far beyond its status as a stopgap.

Petros Michelidakis, Director of boot Düsseldorf, says: "We are delighted to welcome the international windsurfing stars to the trade fair and to offer athletes and visitors a very special programme item this year. The World Cup on our pool shows that we as a trade fair are passionate about the individual sports and that we present and support them here."

Neubauer, Caers, van Broeckhoven, Kloster - the world's top freestyle athletes will be there

On the second boot weekend from 24 to 26 January, almost all of the world's top freestylers will be at the start in Düsseldorf: Lennart Neubauer, the reigning world champion and shooting star, will be at the start, as will his predecessors Yentel Caers and Steven van Broeckhoven. The best German freestylers Niclas and Lucas Nebelung will also be showing off their best moves on the pool, as will Foivos Tsoupras and newcomer Leander Halm. Lisa Kloster, who finished fourth in the PWA ranking in 2024 and second on the FPT Tour, will be competing in the women's event. Elena Dominick, who finished one place behind Kloster, will also be trying her luck in the pool in Düsseldorf.
